Habitat: Slopes and forest openings from foothills to moderate elevations in the mountains.

Description:
General:

Stems are viny, climbing, or trailing at 0.25-2.5 m long.

Leaves:

Blade margins entire or less often crenate-serrate; leaflets unlobed or occasionally 1 or 3 lobed, 2-11cm long.

Flowers:

Sepals often wide-spreading, color varies from violet-blue to pale blue, rarely creamy white, lance-ovate and 3-6 cm long; margins fluted, acuminate at tips.
